The terms and conditions listed below, including the reservation form and all written documents such as emails, exchanged between the client and ANDES RIDING CHILE, constitute an agreement between these parties and are therefore contracting conditions. If clients book by telephone, internet or fax they will be considered to have read the terms and conditions and are in agreement with them.


A) PAYMENT AND RESERVATIONS.

A.1) Reservation Payment.

To formally reserve a trip with ANDES RIDING CHILE each person must provide:

  • An initial deposit of 30% of the trip cost.
  • Completed forms (Register form; Health, Contact and Risks acceptance)

A.2) Final Payment.

The balance of the trip cost is due 60 days before the trip start.

Your booking with ANDES RIDING CHILE is not confirmed until ANDES RIDING CHILE has received the initial deposit payment. Upon receipt of the deposit and forms, we will issue a voucher, showing the total cost of the trip and the balance you owe us.

When booking a trip with less than 60 days before the trip start, it is considered a last-minute booking and 100% of the trip cost must be paid in full within 48 hours to confirm your reservation. Until the payment is received the trip cannot be guaranteed and any changes to the itinerary may occur or be subject to additional fees.

A.3.1.) WIRE TRANSFER/DEPOSIT


NOTE:
-It is important to specify when you do the wire transfer that the cost of the wire will be absorbed by the sender, so in the section that said: Detail of Charges, must say OUR.

If the payment is deposited in our account, it will only be credited when you send us by fax or mail the voucher of the deposit with the complete data of the passenger/s.

A.3.2.) ONLINE PAYMENT WITH CREDIT CARD

If you prefer to pay with your credit card, the method has a fee of 3%, and we need the following information from the person/s that will pay:

  • Name
  • Passport number
  • Nationality
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email


We will send you a link to a secure website where you can pay online using your credit card.


B) CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

All requests for cancellations and applicable refunds must be made in writing, sent to and received by ANDES RIDING CHILE.

B.1) ON THE PART OF ANDES RIDING CHILE.

ANDES RIDING CHILE will cancel the reservation of a tourism service, only and exclusively when the weather conditions are unfavorable and adverse, making impossible to perform a certain activity, or, when an external provider of a touristic service is critical and cannot execute the activity due to force majeure problems.

However, before the possible causes mentioned above, ANDES RIDING CHILE will give you the possibility of rescheduling a new date to perform the activity that was reserved, replace it with another activity, or 100% of the paid cost will be returned.

B.2) ON THE PART OF THE FINAL CLIENT.

Each time a final client decides to cancel the reservation of a tourist service, the following cancellation and return policies established by ANDES RIDING CHILE must be taken into consideration.

The cancellation of the reservation must be 75 days before the departure date; you will have a full refund. Cancellations after 75 days from the date of travel; the following are the amounts that will be refunded to you.

***Set departure trips: USD $200 per person booking fee

NOTE: At ANDES RIDING CHILE’s discretion, and upon availability and with written request by the client, cancellations under 44 days will be considered if the client would like to change the date of the trip for a later one, subject to availability during the same year and at equal or greater value of the original trip booked. Some additional fees may be charged. No refunds will be issued for unused services at any time. There is no refund for NO SHOW, ARRIVING LATE OR LEAVING A TRIP EARLY. In the event that a guest must leave the trip early, we require written notification and explanation within 15 days of the departure from the trip.


C) ADDITIONAL

C.1) If the payments have not been made in the periods indicated, ANDES RIDING CHILE reserves the right to leave the reservation without effect. Additionally, no one can make the trip without having made the corresponding payments and completed the necessary forms. IT IS MANDATORY FOR ANY ADVENTURE TOURISM ACTIVITY IN CHILE ACCORDING TO THE CHILEAN TOURISTIC NORMS.

C.2) ANDES RIDING CHILE is entitled to cancel services up to 75 days in advance prior to trip start date if:

                • The minimum number of full paying members in not met. (A full refund of trip cost including the booking fees will be provided).

                • Cancellation or compensation payments do not apply due to “Force Majeure,” that is, unusual events and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of ANDES RIDING CHILE or its sub-contractors for events that occur such as war, strikes, riots, terrorist activity or threats, natural disasters, climate conditions or fire, environmental emergencies, transport changes in airline companies, boaters and land carriers, changes in providers, etc.

                • ANDES RIDING CHILE is not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled trip. For this reason, we strongly recommend a trip cancellation insurance.

C.3) OTHER

C.3.1) Travel Insurance

ANDES RIDING CHILE trips take place in remote locations, accidents can and do occur occasionally as well as last-minute inconveniences, such as flight delays, loss of luggage, or a simple ankle twist preventing you from arriving on time at the meeting point agreed or unable to finish your vacation. Therefore we require all clients to carry their own health, accident and liability insurance. Travel insurance should include protection for the full duration of your vacation including medical expenses, injury, death, repatriation as well as cancellation and curtailment. It is good to check that there are no exclusions clauses limiting the types of activities included in your trip. ANDES RIDING CHILE will act in full accordance during an emergency situation, but we can assume no responsibility for medical costs or evacuation costs during or after a trip.

C.3.2) LIABILITY

ANDES RIDING CHILE does not carry liability insurance and cannot assume any responsibility for accidents whether caused by your fault, the horse, equipment, or other persons or subcontractors on the trip.

We require all our guests to complete and sign a liability waiver that will be sent to them prior to the trip start. This form should be sent by Fax or scanned and emailed, to our offices along with the initial payment.

C.3.3) HEALTH CONDITIONS

All our guests should be in good general physical health. A general health form will be sent to each guest to be completed and signed; this should be returned to the ANDES RIDING CHILE offices by FAX or scanned and emailed, to our offices at the time of the initial trip deposit.

C.3.4) PASSPORT/VISAS

All clients should hold a valid passport whose expiration date is at least 2 months later than the trip departure date. All fees and costs associated with passports and or visas for entry into any country related to ANDES RIDING CHILE trip are the sole responsibility of the client.

C.3.5) PERSONAL VALUABLES

The operator does not assume responsibility for any loss or theft of personal belongings of the client, whether purchased on the trip or otherwise.
